Art questions June 2019

Q: What are your art peeves?

A: Art that is just meant to look good, artists following trends and worrying about reception. Artists with no ideas whatsoever relying on personality or fame.
People who are afraid to talk about art.
Frames being used for cute inspirational hogwash. I have actually framed one sentence, but it's from The Divine Comedy:

"The shadowy forms, that seem'd things dead and dead again, drew in at their deep-delved orbs rare wonder of me, perceiving I had life."

It's brilliantly written and not just inspirational.

Q: How many wax drawings have you made?

A: At this point (15.6.2019) I have made 260 wax drawings. This is my 6th year and I make 50 drawings every year. I don't feel like I'm running out of ideas. The period from 2014 to 2019 has felt like an explosion. I'm glad I can say that because other people in my family  had the same skills but they lost interest at an early stage.

Q: What are you working on right now?

A: I've been making music. My 7th album comes out July 1st this year. It's my first metal release under a different name, Vengeful Semblance.
I have some ideas for short stories. I love classic short stories and I've made a list of my favourite writers (Guy de Maupassant, Edgar Allan Poe, Anton Chekhov, Italo Calvino...).
And hopefully I will have 300 drawings in total by the end of the year.
