Art questions June 2020

Q: What music genres do you listen to?

A: Classical, medieval, soundtracks, folk, blues, jazz, rhythm and blues, soul, rock, punk, hardcore, metal, electronic, experimental.

I've heard more from the previous millennium.

Q: Have you studied music?

A: No and I don't care about music theory. I started listening to classical, folk and soundtracks about 25 years ago and the rest is genetic. Art education is all right, but there's always something you can't teach.

Artists create experiences for a reason. They want to make you stop and invite you under the surface. They also create experiences so you won't just have a head full of facts and information.

12th album artwork

Part 2 in the White Trilogy. The 5th Vengeful Semblance release will be recorded in June.

Writhing Horizon is the first album to feature recorded performances together with programmed tracks.

First mix of Nyctophony is finished

39 minutes of Avant-garde Black Classical. My 11th album Nyctophony is nearing completion. This time every track is melody-driven.

Looks like I'm going to be making 7 albums in 2 years. This is how you celebrate 20 years of making music.

Nyctophony is my 11th album and the first chapter in the White Trilogy.

Albums 7, 8 and 9 form the Black Trilogy and they were made in 6 months in 2019. The White Trilogy will be out in January 2021.

Lately the ideas have been absolutely burning inside and I don't want to miss these opportunities.

Things you don't know about me - Quarantine Edition

1. My new favourite Youtube video is Drunk Irish People Dig Their Own Graves. Can't wait for future content.

2. I wear sweat pants made out of recycled egg cartons. The acoustics in my ass are breathtaking.

3. My next-door neighbour's favourite musical is The Sound of Stupid.

4. My new tribal name is Collects Blonde Pubes.

5. I was shocked to my core when I learned that self-centered navel picking is the past, present and future normal.

6. After all this sitting, I wrote a heartfelt song called Blue Is the Colour of My Ball Bag Now.

Recording my 11th album

The programmed guitars for Nyctophony are played and recorded. The orchestral percussion and other sounds are then added. This time the demos didn't have any drums (usually most of them don't).

The 4th Vengeful Semblance album will be out in January 2021.
